Annie Leibovitz is one of my favorite photographers, so when I heard that the Corcoran Gallery in DC was hosting an exhibit of some of the work from her book "A Photographer's Life: 1990-2005," I could not wait to see it. As I was walking around reading the background on each photograph, this sign stood out. I thought it was extremely touching and I could see Annie and Susan Sontag, traveling around the world together sharing their perspectives with each other.
I can only imagine how devastating it was for Annie to lose Susan in 2004 from acute myelogenous leukemia. But it is nice to see that she keeps Susan in her heart and mind and uses her perspective to support her work. It makes me love Annie even more.
