Kevin, Tom and I went to see
Mickey Avalon at the 9:30 Club last night. We were in the minority, being male and over 25, but it was quite a concert.
First, former MTV and porn star, Simon Rex, appearing as Dirt Nasty and Andre Legacy opened up the show with a few numbers. I always thought Simon Rex was hot, and it was surreal to see him clothed because I am used to seeing him
taking off his clothes while oiling his bike.
"Then Mickey Avalon came out on stage and said the following:
What is up DC? Are any of you in any pain? Did any of you just come from the dentist or doctor's office? I am serious. I need a vicodin or percocet, does anyone have any pain pills with them? You do? For real? Don't mess with me. Give it to me. Yes I really want it. Thank you. Now DC, you are going to get a great show."
And we did. It was a lot of fun.
My favorite member of the audience was this young guy with long, curly hair who came dressed in an 80's leotard and a headband. He was there to do the "
Jane Fonda."
