A COMMUNITY is in shock after a 25-year-old man was arrested under the Terrorism Act.
The man was arrested at a home in Bardon Close, Halliwell on Wednesday evening.
Neighbour Janet Gardner, aged 53, said: "I am shocked, totally shocked. When we saw the police we thought there had been a burglary or something. Terrorism is the last thing we would think of. I don't think the man is capable of anything like that.
"We couldn't ask for better neighbours as one of the family has offered to take me to hospital and shopping.
"The kids are lovely and they are a really well mannered family."
The man is still being questioned by police. Police remain at the scene.
