Beihai Park

Beihai Park is one of the most beautiful and popular places to spend the day in Beijing. The centerpiece of the park is the White Dagoba, an onion-shaped shrine built on the ruins of a Ming palace in honor of the fifth Dalai Lama on the occasion of his visit to Beijing in 1651.

Beihai Park surrounds a lake, that you can rent a paddle boat to cross. The sun as it sets causes the lake to sparkle, adding to the beauty of the park where everyone comes to relax and play. From tai chi, to caligraphy, to Karoke, to fan dancing, you can find it all in Beihai Park.
